Moving your offices in Port Elizabeth

As we live in a shrinking world, we at Bambisana Office Movers & Installers understand that not all moves are local. Often, office and furniture moves aren’t local but include travelling across provinces and across borders. In fact, cross border moves are becoming increasingly common as organisations look to new borders to expand and grow their business.

This friendly city with a big heart is one of the most affordable places to live in South Africa, which could explain why many people are choosing to move to Port Elizabeth. Port Elizabeth boasts a relaxed, coastal lifestyle at a fraction of the cost of other big metro cities and is located on the south-eastern coast, 763 km east of Cape Town.

Port Elizabeth offers a diverse selection of attractions including scenic nature trails, historic heritage, magnificent wildlife, cultural experiences and countless water sport activities.

Port Elizabeth’s Economy

The largest economic sectors in Nelson Mandela Bay Metro are manufacturing, finance, community services and transport. Community services, trade and manufacturing sectors are the sectors that create the most employment in the Metro.

The city offers a wealth of tourism and recreation opportunity due to its biodiversity, beaches and open spaces.

History

The second-oldest city in South Africa, it was founded as “Port Elizabeth” in 1820 by the government of the Cape Colony when 4,000 British colonists settled Algoa Bay to strengthen the border region between the Cape Colony and the Xhosa. It is nicknamed “The Friendly City” or “The Windy City”.

Officially renamed Gqeberha and colloquially often referred to as PE, Port Elizabeth is a major seaport city and the most populous city in the Eastern Cape province. Port Elizabeth is also the cultural, economic and financial centre of the Eastern Cape.
